Liga: Osasuna and Leganés part in a draw

Back in La Liga for the first time since 2020, Leganés travelled to Osasuna for the first day of the Spanish championship. The promoted team opened the scoring thanks to Juan Cruz, in the 22nd minute of play. And while Valentin Rosier’s teammates thought they had secured the victory, goalkeeper Juan Soriano scored an own goal in the 79th minute, allowing Osasuna to equalise.

Despite a possession in favor of Osasuna (61%) and 16 shots, the final score is 1-1. Next match for Vicente Moreno’s men against Mallorca (August 24), while Leganés will face Las Palmas (August 25).
