In his first week of training as a Real Madrid player, Arda Guler made a strong impression.

The 18-year-old joined Real from Fenerbahçe earlier this month and there has been a lot of excitement about his arrival.

Fellow countryman Arda Turan believes Guler will become one of the best players in world football, and former Real Madrid striker Nicolas Anelka also believes the teenager can become a star. In an interview given to Tivibu Sports, the Frenchman believes that Carlo Ancelotti will be a great mentor for Guler.

“It’s a good thing he’s working with Ancelotti because he knows how to take care of him. If Ancelotti wasn’t at Real Madrid, it would be difficult for him. A results-oriented coach would be difficult.

“Ancelotti is an old name in the club. There’s no pressure on the manager, that’s a good thing for Arda. Like I said, he knows when to put it on the pitch and he talks to Arda about it. Ancelotti is someone who likes to talk to his players”.

Anelka was directed by Ancelotti while playing at Chelsea, and he is full of praise for the Italian.

“He’s a very good coach, but what makes him special is his relationship with the players. He is like a friend. When you are on the pitch, you can give everything for him”.

Having played at Real Madrid himself and understanding the pressure that comes with playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, Anelka gave Guler some advice ahead of his debut season at Los Blancos: “He has to be patient. It’s a big club. There are many players who want to play. He must be patient, calm and take his time. »
