Arsenal have invited Olympique Marseille back to the negotiating table for Eddie Nketiah, with the Gunners no longer showing themselves to be as greedy for the services of their winger.
Last week, the Londoners rejected a €17m offer from OM, as they believe the striker is closer to €40m. However, they are softening their stance. This is according to Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato: “Arsenal open the door to OM again for Eddie Nketiah. The Gunners are now more reasonable. It is up to OM to decide now whether they want to move forward or not.”
Nketiah is no longer OM’s priority
It is not certain that Marseille will relaunch this track. While Arsenal hesitated, the Phocéens had time to track other elements such as Elye Wahi or Youssoufa Moukoko.
As for Nketiah, he is also very interested in a stay at the Vélodrome. But, obviously, the outcome of this saga does not depend on him.
