Morocco concluded the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in style. Beaten by Spain in the semi-final, the Atlas Lions raised their heads in the bronze medal match.

Achraf Hakimi’s teammates won 6-0 against Egypt and won the bronze medal at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes.

In seven participations, the Moroccans had never done better than eighth place in Munich in 1972. They were able to hold their place as favorites in this match to get the better of Egypt (6-0) and win a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Despite being in difficulty at the start of the match, the Moroccans quickly corrected their aim and accelerated the pace. The captain of the Olympic team and Paris Saint-Germain player Achraf Hakimi guided his team to victory and took advantage of the opportunity to score a magnificent goal from a free kick in the second half (6-0, 86th).

This Friday evening, the name of the Olympic champion will be known (6 p.m.). The final will take place at the Parc des Princes between the French team and Spain, a remake of the Euro 2024 semi-final a few weeks earlier.
