FC Barcelona are set to strike hard this summer.
Indeed, the Blaugranas are close to finalizing the signing of Spanish attacking midfielder Dani Olmo. The 2024 European champion, trained at La Masia, will join the Camp Nou for six seasons, until June 2030. The amount of the operation is estimated at more than 60 million euros (55 million euros plus 7 million in bonuses).
But while FCB is close to completing its second recruit, after Pau Victor, who arrived from Girona, coach Hansi Flick has been clear about the transfer window for Culés. The German coach has clearly closed the door on the arrival of other reinforcements in midfield.
Flick no longer wants midfielders
“We have several quality players in midfield. Some are injured at the moment, but they will come back… I think we are well covered in that position,” the former Germany coach told the media.
As a reminder, in its midfield, the Catalan club can count on talents like Pedri, Fermin Lopez, Frenkie de Jong, Ilkay Gundogan, Pablo Torre, but also Gavi, injured and expected to return next October or November.
