Snapdragon, Manchester United’s new sponsor, dreams of having its name alongside Old Trafford. The legendary Theatre of Dreams may be living its last years, after 114 years of loyal service, with Jim Ratcliffe’s new XXL stadium project. To help finance this monstrous project worth nearly two billion euros, the Manchester club could be tempted by a potential naming of their historic stadium.
According to The AthleticSnapdragon, the sponsor of the Manchester club, which already pays 175 million euros over three years to appear on the Red Devils’ jersey, would like to recover these naming rights at all costs. For the moment, nothing has been decided but Jim Ratcliffe would not be against this idea, unlike many Manchester United supporters, who do not want anyone to touch the name of the Theatre of Dreams.
