The Negreira case continues and regularly adds new information to this file. Accused of several payments of money to a former referee, Enrique Negreira, over many years for advice on refereeing, FC Barcelona was acquitted in this case. However, new revelations come from El Mundo and testify to the vagueness surrounding this story.
In fact, Enrique Negreira’s wife allegedly added 3 million euros to these accounts during the period when her husband was vice-president of the Technical Arbitration Commission. These sums were not justified and the investigation is therefore still open to find out the origin of her income that arrived in her account between 1992 and 2023.
