De Zerbi’s OM have already recruited a lot since the start of the summer, but their transfer window is still far from over. The Marseille club could still strengthen on the left wing. And among their targets is a young and talented Portuguese attacking midfielder, Carlos Forbs.
Aged 20, Forbs currently plays for Ajax Amsterdam. He is under contract until 2028 and his market value is estimated at 8 million euros. An amount that is quite accessible for Marseille.
An interesting price for OM
Forbs is a product of Manchester City. He completed his entire training there (between 2014 and 2023) before heading to the Netherlands. He has all the qualities of a modern winger. That of a fast player, technically adept and perforator of defenders.
Francesco Farioli, the new Ajax coach, hopes to keep this brilliant player in his squad. But, the interested party wants to move and he would be more than delighted at the idea of joining Marseille. If the transfer goes through, let’s hope for him that he will be more successful at the Vélodrome than the last Portuguese player who passed through the club, in this case Vitinha.
