Former teammate of Antoine Griezmann in the French team, Olivier Giroud made a big announcement about the future of the Blues striker.

Unlike his teammates in the French team, including Kylian Mbappé who went on vacation to Florida, Antoine Griezmann chose to unwind in Paris after Euro 2024. Without participating, the Blues striker is one of the stars of these Olympic Games. He has thus attended several events in the stands and publishes on X (ex-Twitter) “medal alerts” for each podium of the French athletes.

But “Grizi” is also in the news for another soap opera, that of his future at the club. Under contract until 2026 with Atlético Madrid, the native of Mâcon is seriously considering it according to The Team
to take on one last challenge by joining Major League Soccer, a championship that has always attracted him and in which his idol David Beckham played. And like the “Spice Boy”, the 33-year-old player would be tempted by a stay in Los Angeles.

Olivier Giroud speaks out about Antoine Griezmann

This is where his friends Hugo Lloris and Olivier Giroud are already playing, the latter having just arrived. On the occasion of his official presentation, the new LAFC striker confided in his now ex-teammate in the national team.
“When he saw that I had signed in Los Angeles, he was a little jealous. I told him, don’t worry, we’ll meet up in a few years. Well, a few years… I hope soon!”did he declare.

And the top scorer in the history of the Blues added:
“I don’t know where we are with the club but, yes, I sent him a message right away when I saw that he was announced in Los Angeles. I know he loves the United States, basketball, baseball and football. One day or another, he will come here, for sure.” A nice assist that Antoine Griezmann should therefore convert. The question remains when: this summer or rather in 2025?
