Gareth Southgate’s succession on the England bench remains open.

Who will succeed Gareth Southgate on the England bench? Several names have been circulating since the resignation of the now ex-manager of the Three Lions, including Eddie Howe and Graham Potter. Could there be a huge surprise with Jürgen Klopp, also mentioned?

Without a club since leaving Liverpool at the end of last season, the German manager has no intention of returning to work any time soon, even if the job at the helm of the Euro 2024 finalists is prestigious. This is what he confided at the International Coaches Congress in Würzburg.

“England? It would be the biggest U-turn in football history if I said, ‘OK, I’ll make an exception for you’said the former Reds coach, aged 57.
At the moment I’m not looking for a job. Neither club nor country.” The English Federation can therefore forget about this track.
