Raphael Varane’s future is now taking shape on the Italian peninsula. The French defender, who joined Como 1907 this Sunday as a free agent after the end of his contract with Manchester United, has signed a two-year contract with the Lombard club, until June 2026.
In a statement released by Lariani, the former Lens player expressed his enthusiasm for the Serie A team’s project and his eagerness to work with Giuseppe Sinigaglia’s players.

“At first I was curious about what this project was about, but then I immediately saw that it was special, different from all the others I had been offered, so I wanted to know more. The more I learned about the project, the more interesting it became, which gave me a different perspective on what I wanted to do. Once the project was launched, it went straight to the top of the list and we managed to close the deal.”declared the 2018 world champion.
