A great hope for German football and Borussia Dortmund, Youssoufa Moukoko (19 years old) is currently at a standstill. The striker failed to convince Edin Terzic, the former BVB manager, and was only a starter five times last season in the Bundesliga. However, his accounting record is not so bad since the German hopeful has scored 5 goals in 20 German Championship games played. Extending in January 2023, Youssoufa Moukoko seemed to be promised playing time, but the Marsupials do not seem convinced.
Now under contract until 2026 with BVB, Youssoufa Moukoko is on his way out. The 19-year-old striker’s agent, Patrick Williams, has confirmed this. “Youssoufa has enormous potential, which he unfortunately couldn’t show last season. Few players in the Bundesliga have his ratio. Youssoufa was promised a lot before signing, but it didn’t come to fruition. He was always only interested in the game and his development, not in anything else, as the media always claimed.”he first let slip in an interview with the journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Youssoufa Moukoko ready to come to France
Before confirming that he was leaving Dortmund. “If it had been about money, he could have accepted other lucrative offers where he could have earned more than three times as much. It’s no secret that there are enough clubs here who believe in Youssoufa’s qualities and want him in their team (…) I say that BVB is making a mistake by giving up Youssoufa. With so little playing time, everyone will know that Youssoufa’s market value will be low and that Dortmund can’t hope for much.”he added.
The agent of the young talent regrets his client’s situation, but adds that he is ready to leave Dortmund to progress in his football career. Adding that he was carefully looking at the interest of European clubs, from England, Spain, but also France. It remains to be seen which French club is ready to recover Youssoufa Moukoko, who showed great offensive qualities during his matches with Germany Espoirs, where he finished top scorer in the last Euro U21 qualifiers.
