Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez wants to put his conflict with his French teammates behind him once and for all.
Enzo is due to join up with the Chelsea squad in the United States this week. The midfielder will see his team-mates face to face for the first time since his controversial chant with his Albiceleste pals in which they mocked the French players’ origins after winning the Copa America.
Fernandez ready to return to Chelsea
Asked about the possibility of leaving Chelsea due to the controversy surrounding the incident, Enzo told America TV: “I have already apologized. Everything is fine. I cannot talk about this subject. Yes, I will return to the club.”
Fernandez had indeed apologized for his slip-up. He had acknowledged having made a mistake and had assured that it was in the heat of the moment. A mistake confessed is half forgiven? We will find out when he reunites with his French teammates.
