Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has made a decision regarding the future of his Brazilian winger Antony.

In order to get the reinforcements it wants, Manchester United intends to part ways with many players before the end of the summer transfer window. A group of which Antony is not part, however.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has insisted that the Brazil international still has a future at Old Trafford. Despite his poor performance last season (only 3 goals scored and 2 assists provided), the former Ajax man still has the confidence of his manager.

Ten Hag believes in Antony

Ten Hag said in an interview with AD: “I am still convinced that Antony has the potential to play at this club. He certainly showed that potential in the first month, scoring three times in his first three games. After that it became more difficult, last season was not good, the media say.”

Recruited for €95 million, Antony must now roll up his sleeves and prove that he has a place in this great English team. Otherwise, he will join the club of his many foreign hopefuls who failed at Old Trafford, like his fellow world champion Kleberson.
