This Friday, Euro 2024 will resume with the quarter-finals. We will have two great matches with Spain – Germany as well as the duel between France and Portugal. And for these two matches, it will be an English referee who will be at the whistle. Anthony Taylor will thus direct the match between the Spanish and the Germans.
For France – Portugal, it is his counterpart Michael Oliver who will be at the whistle. Aged 39, the Ashington native already has a lot of experience, having participated in Euro 2020, the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024. At the start of this competition, he took part in three matches: Spain – Croatia (3-0), Slovakia – Ukraine (1-2) and Germany – Denmark (2-0). At Euro 2020, he had directed France’s draw against Hungary (1-1).
