“It’s too easy to say now that the stadium is no longer for sale. We know what we want, we wasted years trying to buy the Park. It’s over now. We want to move from the Parc (des Princes)”. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi had been clear regarding the future venue of Paris Saint-Germain. After years of exchanges, sometimes tense, with the Paris town hall, the Parisian president seems ready to move and several avenues in the Parisian suburbs were already studied.
But recently, several fans of the capital club – including the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP) – published a text in The world to express their opposition to a departure from the Parc des Princes club. And according to RMC Sportthe Paris town hall will invite the signatories of the forum to discuss this issue. “We want the club to stay at the Parc, there are development solutions, expansion of the Parc des Princes which we have been presenting for two years (…) There are technical solutions which are not direct sales since that (…) which exist so that PSG remains in its Parc des Princes. Solutions that allow the club and the stadium to evolve. When we are partners, we have to talk to each other”explained Pierre Rabadan, deputy in charge of Sports, JOP and the Seine.
