His transfer to Olympique Lyonnais did not make much noise. Promising midfielder from Sochaux, Skelly Alvero (22 years old) had only played eight games (1 goal scored) in the first part of OL’s tense season, before joining Werder Bremen last January during the transfer window winter, in the form of a paying loan of €250,000.
In a press release, OL specifies that “the German club, which finished 9th in the Bundesliga, has decided to exercise its purchase option set at a total amount of €4.750 million, to which can be added a maximum of €1.5 million in bonuses, as well as ‘an additional incentive of 15 to 20% for Olympique Lyonnais depending on the added value realized in the event of a possible future transfer’. With Werder, Skelly Alvero played six matches, scoring one goal.
