Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat spoke about his future.
Sofyan Amrabat did not leave a lasting memory at Manchester United this season. Loaned by Fiorentina, the Moroccan midfielder had a complicated exercise, particularly due to his occasional repositioning to the left-back position.
Despite these difficulties, Amrabat was able to make up for it by delivering a remarkable performance during the FA Cup final won against Manchester City (2-1) last Saturday. Asked about his future, the Atlas Lions star did not hide his desire to continue the adventure at Old Trafford.
Amrabat praises Ten Hag’s plan
“Do I already know what I’m going to do next year? No. We’re going to talk about it, said the former Utrecht player. Staying is certainly an option. Look, I think it’s been a very difficult season. For Manchester United it must be much better, and also for me personally. We’re going to talk about it. United are the biggest club in the world, so who wouldn’t want to play football here? But all parties have to be happy with each other, so we’ll sit down now and see what happens. »
Amrabat also paid tribute to the work of his coach Erik Ten Hag: “A very big compliment to the coach, he prepared us so well. This is exactly the plan we wanted and what he said came true. We just had to keep it compact, keep the spaces very small, work really hard and then hope to get something done during transitions. I think we scored two perfect goals and gave up very little. In the end, overall it was a perfect plan and we executed it to perfection. »
