Real Madrid defender Nacho is reportedly the subject of interest from Lionel Messi’s team Inter Miami.
According to Relevo, Inter Miami are ready to push for Nacho this summer to replace the recently injured Nicolas Freire. The Argentine defender tore his anterior cruciate ligament and will be out until the end of the season.
The report adds that Miami will be able to show versatility when it comes to adding Nacho to their ranks this summer. He is available as a TAM player, with a salary of $1.5 million – below the threshold established by the MLS financial authority. The club also has the possibility of making him a “DP”, or “Designated Player” (designated player, editor’s note) by buying out Leonardo Campana’s contract, if necessary.

Nacho’s family is also said to be in favor of the move, with the weather in Miami having played a role in the decision.
