Saint-Etienne can still dream of Ligue 1

AS Saint-Etienne won the last play-off for accession to Ligue 1, this Friday evening, against Rodez (2-0).

The dream continues for AS Saint-Etienne. As part of the last Ligue 2 play-off, the Greens dominated the surprise Rodez (2-0), this Friday evening in a boiling Geoffroy-Guichard stadium.

Above Ruthénois blunted after their victory against Paris FC on Tuesday, the Stéphanois multiplied the shots and the scoring opportunities. They ended up making the difference in the second half, thanks to Cardona (65e) and Mbuku (90e+6).

The Greens will now face FC Metz in the play-offs, with Ligue 1 in their sights.
