A highly sought-after manager could take the reins of Chelsea to replace Mauricio Pochettino.

Mauricio Pochettino has left his post as Chelsea manager after just one year in charge of the team. His estate is now open.

Who will replace the Argentinian coach at Stamford Bridge? According to the Mirror, super agent Jorge Mendes was quick to come forward and proposed the name of Sergio Conceicao to those in charge of the London club.

OM dreamed of it, Chelsea could have it

The 49-year-old recently extended his contract with Porto, but it is unclear whether he will stay, with André Villas-Boas having become the club’s new president. The new contract was signed with former president Nuno Pinto da Costa. Recently, Marseille had sought to attract him to replace Jean-Louis Gasset but the option in question did not appeal to the former FC Nantes coach.

Mendes has a close relationship with Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly and it appears Conceição could be freed from his contract and leave without compensation.
