While Bayern Munich were battling this Saturday afternoon on the Hoffenheim pitch, Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi announced to Brighton management that he was going to leave the Seagulls bench at the end of the season. The rumor therefore quickly gained momentum in the space of a few minutes, with everyone thinking that the former Sassuolo coach was going to be the lucky one to succeed Thomas Tuchel at Bayern. But sports director Max Eberl firmly denied this suggestion after the defeat (4-2) against Hoffenheim in front of the press.

A journalist asked the Bavarian sports director the following question: “Can you vehemently contradict if I tell you that the next Bayern coach will be Italian?”. To which Max Eberl responded very clearly:Yes (I can contradict, editor’s note)“. The media present relaunched the Munich boss: “No Italian? Neither De Zerbi nor Allegri? without real success since he coldly concluded the conversation: “The question was asked and I answered”. Clear, crisp and precise.
