This Monday is the twenty-ninth assessment of the season for the ranking of European top scorers. We find the scorers who shook the nets in Germany, England, Austria, Belgium, Scotland, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine. And as almost always this season, it is Harry Kane who comes out on top with 36 goals in 32 matches. Not used against Wolfsburg despite Bayern Munich’s 2-0 victory, the English striker has impressed this season and seems uncatchable.
His closest pursuer, Vangelis Pavlidis, who has only one match left, has 28 goals in 33 matches. The 25-year-old Greek striker did not score yesterday against Go Ahead Eagles despite AZ Alkmaar’s 3-0 victory. He therefore remains stuck at 28 goals in 33 Eredivisie matches. The podium is completed by Kylian Mbappé. Decisive despite the 3-1 defeat against Toulouse, the Paris Saint-Germain striker took care of his statistics. Here he now has 27 goals in 29 matches.
Viktor Gyökeres in ambush
He is slightly ahead of Viktor Gyökeres who arrives in fourth position. The Swedish striker with 27 goals in 32 matches did not score against Estoril (1-0) and remains blocked. Fifth, Luuk de Jong is falling despite 27 goals in 33 matches. The Dutch striker also remained silent yesterday against Fortuna Sittard (1-1). He has the same number of goals, but a few matches less than Kevin Denkey. Sixth, the Togolese striker from Cercle Bruges scored again yesterday in a 2-1 victory against Antwerp.
Seventh, Serhou Guirassy again piled up a new pawn against Augsburg (1-0). With 26 goals in 27 matches, the Guinean continues to panic the scorers. He is ahead of Erling Haaland and his 25 goals in 29 matches. Against Fulham (4-0), the Norwegian was unable to improve his record. Quite the opposite of Lautaro Martinez who has 24 goals in 32 matches. The Argentine striker from Inter Milan offered himself a new achievement against Frosinone (5-0). Finally, Loïs Openda comes tenth. The Belgian from RB Leipzig did not score this Saturday against Werder Bremen (1-1).
Santiago Giménez (Feyenoord) and Mauro Icardi (Galatasaray) fail to reach the top 10 with 23 goals. Lawrence Shankland (Hearts of Midlothian) follows with 22 goals while Cole Palmer (Chelsea) and Simon Banza (Braga) have 21 pawns. Finally, Rafa Mujica (Arouca), Artem Dovbyk (Girona), Edin Dzeko (Fenerbahçe) and Alexander Isak (Newcastle) come behind with 20 goals.
