It could have looked like a Sunday stroll for Juventus Turin. This eventually turned into a Chinese puzzle. In the end, nothing happened as planned, because Juve had to snatch a draw in end of meeting. From the outset, Dusan Vlahovic’s crossbar should have alerted Massimiliano Allegri’s gang. Niccolo Pierozzi’s goal was finally the wake-up call for the Piedmontese (1-1, 27th). A few minutes later, the match got carried away and Andrea Cambiaso found the post (44th) while a penalty was almost awarded to the visitors before (37th).
Dominant but not very incisive in the first period, the Turinese showed more sharpness after returning from the locker room. But while Vlahovic lacked precision (57th), Arek Milik was disgusted by Fiorillo (80th) and Fabio Miretti found the crossbar (88th). Finally, Turin’s efforts paid off as Adrien Rabiot finally found the fault in added time (1-1, 90+2nd). With this frustrating draw, Juve remains in contact with Bologna and is fourth. This miraculous sharing of points changes nothing for an already condemned Salernitana.
