This Saturday, the 33rd day of the Bundesliga continued with interesting posters. Fourth, RB Leipzig wanted to shine for their last home game against Werder Bremen. Surprised by an own goal from Nicolas Seiwald (36th), Marco Rose’s gang reacted thanks to Benjamin Sesko (61st). A 1-1 draw which does not yet secure fourth place for Leipzig who will still be in the Champions League next season. Not yet assured of the Europa League, Eintracht Frankfurt which is sixth took a good option by hanging on to Borussia Mönchengladbach (1-1) and will see Europe whatever happens. If Hoffenheim (8th) still has a tiny chance of overtaking them, the Eagles seem to have done the essential.

Seventh-placed Freiburg have yet to secure their place in the Europa Conference League but kept Heindenheim at bay in a 1-1 draw. Finally, Union Berlin, which can still be a barrier, missed the mark against Cologne. Leading 2-0 thanks to goals from Robin Knoche (15th) and Kevin Volland (19th), the Berliners cracked with the equalizer from Florian Kainz (45th) from the penalty spot before the break then goals from Steffen Tigges (88th) and Damion Downs (90th +3) at the end of the game. As a result of this 3-2 defeat, Union Berlin is only one point ahead of Mainz which is a play-off and will face Dortmund at 6:30 p.m. For Cologne, on the other hand, this match maintains the hope of saving itself. We will absolutely have to beat Heidenheim next week and hope for favorable results.
