Installed as number 9 at AC Milan since 2021, Olivier Giroud will leave the Italian club at the end of the season for the United States. A place therefore becomes available for an attacker and the Milanese want to invest this summer in his successor. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri are targeting Benjamin Šeško (20 years old). The striker, who arrived in Leipzig last year after being launched by subsidiary club RB Salzburg, has demonstrated his qualities in recent weeks. The Slovenian has scored in the last five Bundesliga matches and contributes greatly to the good dynamic of his team. To settle the player, AC Milan will have to waive the player’s release clause.
According to the Italian daily, the clause currently amounts to 50 million euros. A price which does not frighten the Milanese, seduced by the athletic and young profile of the player. The clause could rise to 75 million euros in the coming months for the player under contract until 2028. If the player and Milan take action this summer, Benjamin Šeško would be the most expensive transfer made by the Rossoneri.
