FC Barcelona has been very active on the transfer market since the beginning of the summer.
Ilkay Gundogan and Inigo Martinez have already joined the first team, while Vitor Roque’s arrival is imminent, although he won’t join the team until January.
Despite this, FC Barcelona have no intention of slowing down anytime soon, and Mateu Alemany and Deco will try to sign other players before the end of the summer.
Addressing MDBarcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed Xavi Hernandez’s demands regarding the club’s transfers.
“As requested by Xavi, a right-back and two midfielders are missing”.
One of those midfielders will be Oriol Romeu, who is expected to replace Sergio Busquets as FC Barcelona pivot. A deal for the 31-year-old could be agreed by the end of the week. As for the other option in midfield, nothing is decided yet.
The right-back has been an area that has been a problem for FC Barcelona for many years, and the club hope to remedy this this summer. However, with Barca’s resources being limited due to their precarious financial situation, it might prove difficult to meet Xavi’s three demands.
