Lionel Messi is set to begin the next chapter of his illustrious career this month.
The Argentina international recently announced that he will join Inter Miami – thus rejecting FC Barcelona – after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires.
As of now, Messi is still on vacation, and he recently posted a photo on Instagram which shows it. However, it wasn’t the scenery that caught the eye, but rather a part of the 36-year-old’s body.
Many users’ eyes were drawn to Messi’s knees, which appeared to have an unusual shape. One said they looked “deformed”, while others wondered if they were normal.

Luckily for Messi’s many fans, the condition of his knees is just fine. As explained RAC1the reason for this unusual shape is that the internal shape of Messi’s quadriceps is highly developed, more than the typical norm of footballers.
This means that Messi’s return to football, which will take place later this summer, is not in jeopardy. The former FC Barcelona striker hopes to be able to impose himself immediately at Inter Miami when he resumes competition.
