We can’t say that we didn’t see it coming. Unable to win a single Championship match until March, Almería was officially relegated to Liga 2. The club of former Marseillas Luis Suárez (injured since January) lost to Getafe this Saturday (1-3 ), which no longer leaves him any hope of survival.

With 14 points gleaned in 33 matches, the Andalusian club quite simply displays the worst total among the 96 clubs in the European TOP 5. Last in Liga, Pepe Mel’s players are 17 points behind Mallorca, the first non-relegation team, 5 days from the end. They will therefore return to the antechamber of Spanish football, which they left in 2022.
