Real Madrid’s Spanish international Clasico hero Lucas Vazquez faces an uncertain future.
Lucas Vazquez was one of the great architects of Real Madrid’s victory against FC Barcelona (3-2) in La Liga this Sunday. Author of a goal, an assist and the origin of the penalty converted by Vinicius, the Spanish right-back shone brightly.
However, the 32-year-old finds himself in an uncertain contract situation. His contract expires next June and his future at Real Madrid is not yet sealed.
Extension in sight?
Despite this situation, Lucas Vazquez does not seem worried. He thus affirms his attachment to the club and his happiness to evolve there. “I love playing for Real Madrid! For me it’s like a dream, says the native of La Coruña. However, the Madrilenian remains cautious about his future. My future ? I don’t know yet, I’m totally focused on the season,” he declares.
As usual with its players over 30, Real Madrid management could offer Vazquez a one-year extension. This is particularly the case for Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, both at the end of their contract.
