He arrived at Tottenham in the summer of 2019 for 62 million euros from Olympique Lyonnais. Four years later and coming out of a rather conclusive loan with Naples, punctuated by a Scudetto, Tanguy Ndombélé will still evolve under the London tunic next season. Unable to impose himself under the orders of Mauricio Pochettino, José Mourinho and Antonio Conte, Ndombélé has never been unanimous within the club of Daniel Lévy. However, a reason for hope remains for the native of Longjumeau. Indeed, the arrival of Ange Postecoglou on the Spurs bench could finally change the situation for the former Amiens.

Present in internship with the north London club, the 26-year-old French midfielder aspires to relaunch with Tottenham as we revealed to you a few days ago. Asked about Ndombélé, his new coach expressed his joy at being able to count on him during this pre-season camp: “Tanguy was good. He worked hard in training like they all did because they have no choice! I take things as I see them. He was part of a winning team in Serie A last season and he worked well. In this context, I am delighted to have him here and to be part of the group. We’ll see what that means in the long run. Maybe he won’t want to be part of things. It remains to be seen whether this affection of the Australian-Greek coach towards Ndombélé will be able to translate in the coming months with a decent number of appearances.
