20 days of ordeal
“I had a difficult December, confides Ramos to the daily Record. I started with a virus, which then turned into a colon infection. I spent 20 days bleeding and vomiting, unable to eat and with a very high fever. »
“I ended up going to the hospital four or five times and being put on a drip. I lost eight kilos”, adds the former Benfica member.
A laborious return to competition
Already in the process of adapting to a new country and a new club, Ramos had to deal with the after-effects of this virus.
“During the period of adaptation to France, adding this mishap did not help, he explains. I had to gain weight in the middle of the season, doing the pre-season in January, which is not easy. »
A month of December to forget
Despite the difficulty of the situation, Ramos was able to return to training at the end of December.
“I started on the 10th of December and didn't train until the 21st. I had a relapse at Christmas, I went to the hospital and it wasn't until I came back on the 30th that I started training again 100%. »
A future to write
PSG's number 9, author of 9 goals and 1 assist in 30 appearances this season, now hopes to turn the page on this difficult period and focus on the rest of the season with the capital club.
