This Monday is the twenty-second assessment of the season for the ranking of European top scorers. We find the scorers who shook the nets in Germany, England, Austria, Belgium, Scotland, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine. As almost always this season, we find Harry Kane who comes first with 31 goals in 26 matches. The English striker once again made a splash with Bayern Munich against Darmstadt with a new achievement in a 5-2 success.
Behind him, the competition is relegated several lengths and it is represented by Kylian Mbappé. Author of 24 goals in 24 matches, the French striker is coming off a solid performance against Montpellier (6-2) where he led his team to a very good victory. Author of a hat-trick, he moved up the rankings and took second place. The podium is completed by Lautaro Martinez with 23 goals in 26 matches. The Argentinian, however, remained silent yesterday against Napoli (1-1) and lost one place compared to the previous week.
Viktor Gyökeres crushes everything
With similar statistics, we find Vangelis Pavlidis in fourth position. The Greek striker scored again for AZ Alkmaar in a big 4-0 victory against Volendam. Fifth, Kevin Denkey ended the regular season with a new goal in a 4-0 success against Molenbeek which allowed him to bring his tally to 23 goals in 28 matches. Also a scorer with Stuttgart, Serhou Guirassy comes sixth with 22 goals in 20 matches. Against Hoffenheim (3-0 victory), he added a new goal to his collection.
Seventh, Viktor Gyökeres scored a hat-trick against Boavista (6-1) and goes back to 22 goals in 24 matches. Eighth position goes to Luuk de Jong. Mute against Twente (1-0) in a match won by PSV Eindhoven, he remains stuck at 22 goals in 26 matches. He is ahead of another Eredivisie player with Santiago Giménez who comes ninth, having scored 21 goals in 25 matches. Finally, Scottish striker Lawrence Shankland concludes the top 10. Author of 20 goals in 30 matches, he did not score with Heart of Midlothian during a 2-1 defeat against Ross County this Saturday.
Loïs Openda (RB Leipzig) and Simon Banza (Braga) follow with 19 goals. Just behind, we find Edin Dzeko (Fenerbahçe) and Erling Haaland (Manchester City) with 18 goals. Mauro Icardi (Galatasaray) and Mohamed Amoura (Union-Saint-Gilloise) have 17 goals. Igor Thiago (Club Brugge), Brian Brobbey (Ajax Amsterdam), Rafa Mujica (Arouca), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) and Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid) scored 16 goals.
