On Friday it was reported that Real Madrid had lost a second appeal over Jude Bellingham’s controversial red card against Valencia last weekend.
The England midfielder was sent off by referee Jesus Gil Manzano for approaching him aggressively over the decision to end the match a second before he headed what would have been the goal of victory.
Despite this, Real Madrid have not given up their efforts to make Bellingham available for their next two La Liga matches, against Celta Vigo and Osasuna. According to The Athletic, the case was brought before the Tribunal Administrativo del Deporte (TAD) in Spain.
Real persists
The Spanish Football Federation’s competitions committee, which handled Real Madrid’s first two appeals, ruled there was not enough evidence to overturn Bellingham’s suspension, but Los Blancos hope TAD will see things differently, as they desperately hope Bellingham will be available for future matches.
