Manchester United are expected to recruit Naples striker Victor Osimhen this summer, which complicates PSG’s task.
The Mancunian club will face strong competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who reportedly intend to make a strong move during the summer transfer window in order to replace a departing Kylian Mbappé. The Red Devils will also have to compete with fellow Premier League clubs Arsenal and Chelsea to secure the Napoli star’s signature, according to The Independent.
With Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS Group taking control of Old Trafford, the Premier League giants are considering a massive overhaul of their squad ahead of the 2024-25 season. PSG are also keen to strengthen their attack, with their number one star set to join Real Madrid this summer.
Osimhen successor to Kylian Mbappé?
The Nigeria international, who has scored 13 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions for Napoli this season, while providing four assists, has a €110 million release clause in his current contract.
For now, the striker remains focused on the Italian team and will be seen in action for the first time on Friday, in the Serie A match against Torino.
