Kylian Mbappé never stops fueling the debates. Within the community of PSG supporters, the Bondy prodigy divides.

Love stories end badly, in general. Between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain, the marriage lasted 7 years. But it has never been a long, quiet river. 4 summers during his 6 off-seasons spent in the capital, the Bondy prodigy was the main character of an endless soap opera. It’s a lot. Maybe even too much. To the point of eclipsing the indelible mark of an extraordinary, hard-working footballer, much more often efficient than the opposite, ultra-professional and who became the top scorer in the history of the club.

By nature, Kylian Mbappé has a divisive personality, but we didn’t think that everything around him would be so divisive, a few months before an announced divorce. The lunar scene that took place at half-time of the match in Monacowhere the striker played the stars while being completely disconnected from the rest of the team after being replaced by his coach Luis Enrique, is witness to a deep fracture, where no one is hiding anymore.

The Mbappé case divides PSG supporters

There are the supporters who come to the aid of Kylian Mbappé and express their incomprehension regarding the choice of Luis Enrique. And then there is another fringe of followers, no longer in the minority, who no longer hesitate to point out the attitude of the scorer. The Block Parisii, an association of supporters of the Tribune Boulogne at the Parc des Princes, is one of them. These PSG fans made a banner with a fairly clear message: “ KM, looking forward to 06/30!“. A reference to the date of the end of Kylian Mbappé’s contract – the day which will therefore mark his departure.

This sound of bell contrasts with the message sent by part of the Ultras Paris Collective, always quick to support the 2018 world champion in recent weeks. As PSG moves forward with excitement towards major milestones, it will be interesting to see the evolution of these relationships, where feelings are unique to each person. In the stands, the wind always turns faster than elsewhere.
