Bayern Munich formalizes a recruit

Bayern Munich have indicated the automatic lifting of a clause on Eric Dier’s loan. The English central defender is extended from July 1.

Eric Dier will continue to wear the Bayern Munich jersey next season. Loaned since last January by Tottenham, the English central defender has seen an option on his six-month contract lifted, the German club said on Saturday.

Eric Dier made seven appearances for Bayern in the Bundesliga, including five starts for Thomas Tuchel’s side, reaching the required number of appearances for his contract to be extended by a year.

“ My future is sorted and I can focus on playing well for the club and trying to help the club win matches, win competitions, even though it has been a difficult time for us », commented Eric Dier.
