Despite its financial problems, FC Barcelona is exploring the possibility of recruiting some of the best players in the world.
After Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Rafael Leao in recent weeks, it is Erling Haaland’s turn to be the object of desire. As reported by Jijantes FC, FC Barcelona sporting director Deco met with Rafaela Pimienta on Wednesday afternoon.
Pimienta is notably the agent of Haaland, who scored five goals for Manchester City less than 24 hours earlier in the FA Cup victory over fellow Premier League side Luton Town.
Barça continues to dream
Haaland’s future has been the subject of speculation in recent months, with Real Madrid credited with strong interest in the Norwegian striker, with whom Man City want to agree a new contract. FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta considers Haaland a dream signing for the Catalan giants.
It is understandable that Laporta considers Haaland a dream signing, but it is clear that this is just a dream for Barcelona, as there is very little chance that they could afford to sign him in a near future.
