President of the Cameroonian football federation, Samuel Eto’o announced the departure of Rigobert Song.

Rigobert Song is no longer the Cameroon coach. During an interview with France 24, Samuel Eto’o announced the end of his collaboration with the former RC Lens defender.

“He has brought a lot to this team but the laws of football being what they are… We have not achieved our objectives, and our executive committee and I do not see ourselves renewing the contract”confided the president of the Cameroonian football federation, and added: “I had the opportunity to discuss it with him. I have given our positions and now we must think about the future, while wishing him every success in his future career. »

As a reminder, the Indomitable Lions were knocked out of the African Cup of Nations by Nigeria, at the round of 16 stage.
