Author of an obscene gesture during Al-Nassr’s victory on Al-Shabab’s field (2-3), Cristiano Ronaldo could pay dearly.

Just a few days after causing controversy by wiping his crotch with a jersey thrown at his feet by opposing supporters, Cristiano Ronaldo slipped up again. During Al-Nassr’s victory on the Al-Shabab pitch (2-3), the five-time Ballon d’Or mimed an obscene gesture towards fans who were chanting the name of Lionel Messi, the great rival of the Portuguese star.

An act that should not go unpunished. Indeed, the Saudi Football Federation has decided to urgently open an investigation against Cristiano Ronaldo. For his part, Marca announced this Wednesday that the ethics and disciplinary committee is demanding a two-match suspension for the former Madrilenian.

CR7 asked to speak

The Spanish media adds that a statement from Cristiano Ronaldo has been requested and that the final decision of the ethics and disciplinary committee is not yet known. However, it should occur in the coming days.

If this two-match sanction is confirmed, the 39-year-old striker would then miss Al-Nassr’s next two matches, against Al-Hazem and Al-Raed. As a reminder, Ronaldo’s team is currently second in the Saudi Pro League, seven points behind leader Al-Hilal.
