BL: Stuttgart slowed down in Cologne, M’Gladbach corrects Bochum and gives itself some breathing room

The day after Bayer Leverkusen’s narrow victory against Mainz, allowing it to extend its unbeaten streak to 33 games without defeat, the 23rd day of the Bundesliga continued with the traditional multiplex, this Saturday. Coming dangerously close to the red zone, M’Gladbach hoped to give himself some air in the rankings by returning to success. It’s done since the partners of Franck Honorat, scorer in added time, largely won against Bochum (5-2), despite the executioner of Bayern Munich last weekend. On the banks of the Weser, Werder Bremen had the opportunity to continue their crazy rise in the standings and put pressure on sixth, Frankfurt, in the event of a favorable result against Darmstadt. However, the promoted showed great resistance to snatch a precious point in the race to maintain (1-1).

In the German capital, Union Berlin wanted to move on to distance itself from the first relegated team. A task which was far from obvious against a Heidenheim team which showed itself to be responsive until the end. At the end of a game full of twists and turns, the East German team was finally held in check at home (2-2). In Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart could possibly come back to within one point of Bayern Munich. Hanging on by Cologne despite a goal from Frenchman Millot, the Swabians were only able to obtain a draw and can harbor regrets (1-1). Third and 6 points ahead of Dortmund, VfB can nevertheless see this coming.
