The futures of Raphaël Varane and Casemiro at Manchester United are unclear, with major changes planned this summer at Old Trafford.
New minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is plotting an overhaul of the club in 2024, including a series of player sales. Ratcliffe has already highlighted the need for the club to remain cautious in the coming months in order to meet the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules in 2024.
This includes selling players and reducing the salary budget, before evaluating incoming options at Manchester. According to the latest reports from ESPN, up to 11 first-team players could be transferred ahead of the 2024/25 season, including Varane and Casemiro.
Varane with Benzema?
Both players have already been linked to the Saudi Pro League and that option will return this summer.
Casemiro is under contract until 2026, with an option for a further 12 months, while Varane is under contract until 2025.
According to rumors, Al Ittihad, club of Karil Benzema and Al Nassr (formation where Cr7 plays) are monitoring them and United could accept a reduced price for any potential transaction.
