While Jean-Louis Gasset succeeded Gennaro Gattuso on the OM bench, big names are circulating for next season, including that of Zinédine Zidane.
It’s a choice that’s causing talk in the Marseille city: Jean-Louis Gasset was propelled onto the bench of Olympique de Marseille to end the season after the sidelining of Gennaro Gattuso. The former Ivory Coast coach is not unanimous, to say the least.

“Zidane, if you have to imagine him somewhere, it’s…”
“You don’t flirt with this kind of coach with the financial situation of OM today. You flirt with these coaches if you become a very ambitious club, which plays in the Champions League and not in a year like that, by chance, where you come across them. Plus it’s more at the end than the beginning. So you take (Christophe) Galtier because he is up to the level of L1. (…) I don’t consider him to be a top coach. Afterwards, in a locker room like that of OM, it will be easier for him than in a locker room like that of PSG, where he was of no use and where he did nothing.. Everything suggests that OM could only satisfy such ambition by passing under the Saudi flag…
