Currently with the number 39, he could have worn the 9 which was vacant following the departure of Robert Lewandowski to FC Barcelona. “Yes I could have taken number 9 but I set myself a certain number of challenges to take on during this season. I didn’t want to get it directly because it’s a fairly symbolic number within the club. So I preferred to keep my number 39 to give myself challenges and be able to get this number nine back while being satisfied with my work” he explained.
