Scorer again in Inter Milan’s victory on Friday, Lautaro Martinez surpassed the 20 goal mark in Serie A.
Three years after his last coronation, theInter Milan is heading straight towards its 20th Italian champion title. This Friday, the Nerazzuri easily crushed Salerntina (4-0) at Giuseppe Meazza and provisionally took 10 points ahead of Juventus Turin.
Martinez-Thuram on fire
Once again, the attacking duo Lautaro Martinez-Marcus Thuram shone and made the break two minutes apart (17th and 19th) before Dumfries and Arnautovic sealed the success of the Lombards. For his first season in Italy, Thuram already has 10 goals to which we can add 7 assists. For his part, Martinez continues to pile up goals and now has 20 after only 24 matches.
This is not the first time in his career that the Argentinian international has reached this total in the league since he had planted 21 times in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023. Martinez therefore became the first Inter Milan player in 72 years to score at least 20 goals in three consecutive seasons. If he continues at this pace, he could well exceed the 30 mark.
