32 is the number of consecutive matches without defeat for Bayer Leverkusen, spanning the last two seasons. This Saturday, Xabi Alonso’s players indeed stretched this amazing series by winning against Heidenheim (1-2).

If the German club, leader of the Bundesliga, has become accustomed to victory since the start of the season, this one will probably have a special flavor. Because with this new success, Leverkusen quite simply equals the record for the longest unbeaten run in the history of German football, held by Bayern Munich since 2020. In the event of a draw or victory against Mainz next Friday, the Vizekusen will take this record for themselves.
