Mohamed Salah marked his return to the Premier League with a goal in Liverpool’s 1-4 victory against Brentford.

Liverpool had never won in the Premier League at Brentford and not for 31 years in all competitions. This has been done since this Saturday, after the victory (1-4) of the Reds on the pitch of the GTech Community Stadium for the 25th day of the championship. Jürgen Klopp’s men have provisionally taken a 5-point lead over Manchester City and Arsenal, who are respectively two and one games behind and can change this situation.

Once again, Liverpool had to deal with injuries, notably those of Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota in the first half, but did not really suffer and gradually made the match easier. Darwin Nunez, who came out at the break, had time to open the scoring with a smooth ball over Flekken, the Bees goalkeeper (0-1, 35th).

Salah, already a scorer!

. After the break, Alexis Mac Allister concluded a relay with Mohamed Salah with a pointer to double the lead (0-2, 55th), before the Egyptian, who entered during the match, took advantage of a placement error the Brentford defense to sign their comeback with a left-footed finish (0-3, 68th). The Liverpool superstar had not played in England for a month and a half but has already managed to be decisive.

Ivan Toney, the Bees striker, reduced the gap as the last quarter of an hour approached by following a ball repelled by Kelleher (1-3, 75th), but Cody Gakpo, alone against Flekken , added to the score in favor of the visitors (1-4, 86th).
