And while his country exited in the round of 16 against DR Congo, the Liverpool winger had long since returned to Liverpool.
Indeed, the 31-year-old winger had returned to the banks of the Mersey to heal and possibly return to the CAN final if his team managed to make their way there. But while this scenario did not happen, Salah was able to calmly prepare for his return to Liverpool. Thus, the latter returned to training this Tuesday. It remains to be seen whether the former AS Roma and Chelsea player will be there for the Reds’ trip to Brentford this Saturday.
