Neymar returned to Santos on Wednesday. The Brazilian was in the stands of the Urbano-Caldeira stadium, to the great joy of the supporters of his former club.
Injured for many weeks in one knee, Neymar continues his convalescence. But since he can now move without crutches, the Brazilian takes the opportunity to move around and travel. Currently in his native country, the former FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain player celebrated his thirty-two years last Monday. But that wasn’t the only moment of joy he decided to treat himself to and on Wednesday evening, he took a detour to a place he knows well: Santos’ Urbano-Caldeira stadium. Enough to treat yourself to a bath of applause.
Because this stadium is quite simply that of his former club Santos, where Neymar revealed himself in 2009 before crossing the Atlantic four years later to join Europe. When he appeared in his dressing room, a few fans on the lower floor noted his presence. A few timid applause, then a little more, even more, and finally the entire stadium chanted the name “Ney”. Absolutely delighted with this welcome, the Auriverde international wore a broad smile, while sending numerous gestures of thanks towards the Santos supporters.
Joy in the stands and in the locker room
The height of happiness for the Al Hilal player, his favorite team won by the smallest of margins against Corinthians, their opponents of the day (1-0). Once the match was over, Neymar went down to the locker room to greet the players and take a few photos with them. He also spoke with the leaders, all in a great atmosphere. Santos has also published a good number of photos on his social networks.

Neymar played 142 matches for Santos before joining FC Barcelona. He notably scored 73 goals and offered 37 assists. His style and his level, already exceptional for a player of his age, quickly made him one of the most popular players among the big players in Europe, and it was therefore Barça who were able to convince him to join. The Blaugrana club had to pay the sum of 88 million euros for this.
