The signing of Bernardo Silva at Paris Saint-Germain has been gaining volume in recent days. Not only is Manchester City less greedy, but the English club has probably found a replacement for the Portuguese player.

While PSG have begun a series of announcements, first with the appointment of Luis Enrique, then that of Milan Skriniar, one file focuses all attention, it is Bernardo Silva. For weeks, it has been known that Luis Campos has been working to bring in his Portuguese compatriot, who asked for an exit voucher from Manchester City after the victory in the Champions League final. On Wednesday, Football Insider announced that the Citizens were finally less financially greedy for the former Monegasque, and thata proposal around 60 million euros could be enough to bring Bernardo Silva. However, Pep Guardiola didn’t want to hear of his player’s departure until City found his replacement. The Guardian announces, however, that this time the champion of England has unearthed the nugget he needed in the person of Oscar Gloukh, the Israeli international who plays in Salzburg. The doors therefore open for Bernardo Silva.

The English media obviously evoke the colossal salary offers that would have reached the Portuguese player (47 million euros per year). But, everyone recognized that Paris Saint-Germain still holds the rope, even if a reflection is underway with the player. At this price, we fully understand that Bernardo Silva can ask questions. However, Paris has a major asset in this case, since the player’s wife is much more keen to settle in the French capital than in Saudi Arabia. There is one certainty, it is that at 28 the attacking midfielder wants to move after having won 11 major trophies with Manchester City. On the side of the champions of France, we continue to work hard on this file validated by Luis Enrique, and a first official offer is even ready to leave for the North of England.

  1. I promise to always respect the beautiful French language if you will stop butchering the English language. If you’re not fluent in a particular language you should not be posting articles in which you attempt, and fail, to use it competently.

  2. You need to be looking at £120 million plus for a player of his age and caliber. Rice cant hold a candle to bubble gum.

  3. Less greedy? He’s worth more than pathetic PSG can afford do you mean? PSG struggle when they play against top teams.

  4. ‘Less greedy?’
    Why the pejorative?
Football is a market-place, one club’s player’s services are worth what another club are prepared to pay to contract for them and if the owner has a price that is not negotiable, end of! In this case Manchester City want to keep Bernardo but respect his wishes to leave and are trying to find an acceptable arrangement for both parties. Bernardo is almost irreplaceable, certainly in like for like criteria and it is PSG that are seeking to take advantage of this situation. If anyone is being greedy I suggest you turn your gaze inwards.

  5. Bernardo is the best midfielder in Europe and surely would command a fee in excess of £100m if Rice can?
Id swap him for Achraf Hakimi and Warren Zaire-Emery.
City would be gaining two young and hungry players that are financially an asset to the club.

  6. Bernardo could not have done any more for City. Try to find a desk if his family wishes it. It’ll break my heart but he’s given everything for City

  7. Bernardo is sublime most of the times , he holds the ball so well and instrumental in assist of simply scoring , many good players out there but who has this magic touch – matches are won on magic touches
